Partner for Success

“Education is a prime need of the hour”

In today’s society, public schools need our help to meet the growing economic, social, and academic needs of students. We can make a difference in the lives of children if we are involved in schools and the school community. Each chapter in the Eastern Region is encouraged to partner with and Adopt-A-School for the success of all children.

Adopt-A-School Goals:

  • Offer activities to help students access learning.
  • Render services that impact students and schools.
  • Provide opportunities for chapters and Sorors to share expertise in areas of need.
  • Present programs and activities to enhance student achievement and performance.
    • Sample Adopt-A-School Projects

      • Help students make “Brown Bags for the Homeless.” Provide peanut butter crackers, apples, small drinks or bottled water, snacks and etc.
      • Adopt a grade level and provide resources from the teacher’s supply list.
      • Sponsor a grade level Spelling Bee or Oratorical Contest.
      • Partner with the physical education teacher to connect with Mrs. Obama’s national program “Let’s Move”.
      • Provide financial literacy workshops for parents and the school community.
      • Assist in sponsoring Parent Awareness/Parent Advocacy sessions.
      • Offer Zumba and/or Line dance classes for staff and parents
      • Proctor tests during testing sessions
      • Partner with the PTA during Teacher Appreciation Month or other special times during the year
      • Tutor in a class. Make your “Blue and White” presence felt and needed
